Moda Trends: Ruffles

OK, so you’ve seen it all before but this is one way to enliven a basic or lift your working wardrobe. The bib-front ruffles were played out again on silky blouses, while a whole heap of occasionwear dresses were ruffled – and while we’re at it, these dresses were often pleated right through the body. This gave them extra panelling and a body-con feel. The con in this case stands for contouring and also for concealing.
