This was Burberry's second seasonal foray onto the catwalks of London Fashion Week although you wouldn't have known it for all the press clamour at the show. For the second season running the show turned out to be the highlight from a creative perspective and the hottest ticket of the week.
Following the archive-inspired military theme of its men's autumn collection presented in Milan last month, Burberry engaged buyers with a lucrative parade of show-stopping outerwear.
Set against a palette of army green tones and nautical blues, this texture-rich collection was full of highlights including a WWII inspired sheepskin bomber with a double-strapped collar, and a longer-length hybrid of the same style, as well as double-breasted swingy pea coats and full-length parade coats with zip details. These heavy textures were juxtaposed against soft and feminine lace dresses and workwear-inspired denim and chambray shirts worn as sexy mini-dresses.Source URL: http://icip2idayusof.blogspot.com/2010/02/london-fashion-week-aw10-burberry.html
