Denim buyers fish for Pike Brothers

En route to Bread & Butter prominent fashion agent Terry Pearman, who has previously run the UK sales for both Pepe Jeans London and Firetrap, gave Fashion Buyer a heads-up about Pike Brothers. It was during a trip lsat season to Berlin that Pearman stumbled upon what he described as a crew of greased-up 1950s throwbacks tinkering with a tasty selection of vintage motorcycles outside the main hall at Premium.
Upon enquiry it turned out the fellas in question were avid vintage motorbike enthusiasts who had acquired the license for a British rainwear brand called Pike Brothers. This brand found favour with post-war bikers in the 1940s, in the days before specialist motorcycle clothing became available.
The revived Pike Brothers is steeped in vintage nostalgia and manufactured with a fastidious eye for both detail and vintage production processes. Fourteen ounce selvedge denims share railspace with heavy cotton jerseys and a head-turning reproduction of a USAF B-10 flight jacket.
Sales for Pike Brothers are being handled in the UK by Nick Shukla, who since his time as sales manager for Etienne Ozeki and Blue Guru, has been developing an attractive basket of new-to-the-UK brands.
