Lace

With Chanel’s spring 09 show firmly in mind, the lace (usually polyester) on show in Denmark went from all-over dresses and tops to insert-panels and trims. How far you buy into the look may depend on how far you feel you can give this the sophisticated merchandising it will need to differentiate it from the youthful end of the high street but there is little doubt that shoppers will be after this look as the underwear as daywear look continues to pick up the pace. See it on simple T-shirts, draped tunics and used as soft shoulders.
