Italo Fontana, the designer behind U-Boat watches, has launched a new brand. With its oversized watch faces and industrial-meets-military handwriting Welder's designs echo the U-Boat look while bringing a new modernist aesthetic to the equation. From 40mm watch faces to more in-your-face 50mm and 53mm styles the Welder range is designed to draw attention. Chronograph functionality and multiple time-zone features are also included in a series which is likely to rank as one of the must-have brands among buyers at next week's Pitti Uomo exhibition in Florence.
