Day Two at Pitti Uomo

Last night's gastranomic pleasures at Trattoria Natalino - one of  Florence's oldest restaurants, famed for its pear and walnut tortelloni swimming in a sumptuous gorgonzola sauce, and its tantalising rocket salad littered with melt-in-your-mouth ribbons of fillet steak - was followed by a romantic stroll through Piazza Sante Croce. Just the ticket for digesting not only the muscular brunello that accompanied supper, but more importantly the most vital trend ingredients to autumn 2010's Pitti Uomo.
Yesterday's romp through the casualwear aisles found a tidal wave of brands chasing a chocolate box vision of outdoorsy Americana. For reference, think bookish tweed jackets with elbow pads and reinforced cuffs, chunky apres-ski knits, and detail-rich, washed-to-a-crumple shirts in checks, stripes and chambray.
Today, Fashion Buyer UK continues its hunt for the brands lighting up the Pitti Uomo trend radar. If you are reading this from the exhibition please let us know your show highlights via the comment box below.Source URL: http://icip2idayusof.blogspot.com/2010/01/day-two-at-pitti-uomo.html
