Brand house WDT is to cease trading with its men’s young fashion brand SC51 and its Fullcircle menswear range. The company will continue trading with Firetrap and Fullcircle womenswear.
In a letter to its customers the company is announcing that: “An exhaustive review of the business (...) highlighted many encouraging successes as our Firetrap brand and Fullcircle womenswear brand continue to go from strength to strength. As well as some great successes within the portfolio the review highlighted two under-performing areas which with regret we are proposing to act upon.”
Fullcircle menswear has been trading for 12 years and the spring 11 season will mark its final deliveries.
SC51 (pictured above) replaced menswear brand Sonneti two seasons ago but will receive no further investment from the company, marking autumn 10 as its last season, with its final deliveries in January 2011.
In its statement the company underlined its commitment to stable, long term growth for its brands and retail partners.
Fashion Buyer understands that some staff at WDT are in a 30-day period of consultancy and as yet it is unclear how this move will affect the management structure within the company. A spokeswoman for the brand declined to comment at this stage.
