New York Fashion Week Spring 2011: Narciso Rodriguez turns to Nineties minimalism

There are two big themes emerging from New York this week. The first is a bohemian take on 1970s disco glamour as seen at Marc Jacobs and Marios Schwab. The second is a refined interpretation of Nineties minimalism.
American design wunderkind Narcico Rodriguez has opted for the latter and a look that remains eminently marketable for chi-chi US nine-to-fivers. Lean silhouettes and clean-lined tailoring were dominant looks in a collection that played with innovative construction techniques, fabrics usually associated with lingerie and  a soft feminine palette of blush pinks, multiple shades of white and jet black.Source URL: http://icip2idayusof.blogspot.com/2010/09/new-york-fashion-week-spring-2011.html
