New York Fashion Week: Victoria Beckham's Mad glamour

When it wasn’t going to a 70s disco, New York Fashion Week was underpinned by Madison Avenue womanliness. Yeah we know, yawn. Mad Men has been hot for, like, ever. But as its fourth season opens and Tom Ford actually debuts his womenswear on Mad-Av, it was the form fitting womanly curves of Christina Hendricks and January Jones that came to mind too at the Victoria Beckham show. Waists were high and waspish, and there was – gasp – a real dose of colour confidence from the black-clad Essex maven with ultraviolet, orange and soft pink punctuating the spectrum along with oil slick finishes, glittering silvers and nudes. The structured womanliness and pocket details were an obvious move for the former Spice Girl and so too was the arch-WAG’s first line of bags, which included a tiny and prim Victoria bag.Source URL: http://icip2idayusof.blogspot.com/2010/09/new-york-fashion-week-victoria-beckham.html
