Queen of digital prints Calla Haynes branches out

At her most recent Paris Fashion Week presentation, Toronto-born designer Calla Haynes set out to prove that she could deliver so much more than the digital prints which brought her into the spotlight, sparking countless copycats.

The autumn collection swaps spring 09's ethereal prints and pastel hues for a darker palette of charcoal grey tribal prints, nude tones, purples and stripes.
Structured and tailored styles provide the backbone of the collection. High waisted capri pants and texture-rich collarless jackets share railspace with strapless micro mini-dresses and paint splattered jerseys.

Haynes cut her design teeth working with Olivier Theyskens at Rochas and Nina Richi besides developing textiles designs for Jeremy Laing and Erin Featherston.
As soon as Fashion Buyer has found come contact details for Haynes, who is based in Paris, we'll report back.Source URL: http://icip2idayusof.blogspot.com/2010/04/queen-of-digital-prints-calla-haynes.html
