London’s RCA has a knack of training some of fashion’s most accomplished designers, and latest on its conveyor belt of talent is Eudon Choi. Having cut his teeth designing for Savannah Miller’s rock’n’roll infused label Twenty8Twelve, Choi turns his attention for spring 10 towards his own inaugural women's collection.
Meticulously constructed day dresses with subtly padded shoulders and asymmetric fronts sit alongside an evening dress festooned with layers of side-tie silk ribbons, and an unstructured tailored tux jacket with folded shawl lapels and bolero proportions. Other highlights include Choi’s knockout lancet-fastening suede jacket, all power shoulder and panelling.
The palette is muted with chalky pink sitting alongside charcoal grey, deep green and black. Choi’s collection is supported by a sophisticated selection of skyscraper heeled footwear characterised by multi-strap details.
