Chairman of the British Menswear Guild, Oscar Udeshi is planning to drive his own tailoring brand’s popularity with a new focus on distribution and an international own-retail strategy. The design-led tailor has identified 20 cities for new stores planned over four years. The roll-out will add to Udeshi’s existing stores in London’s Davies Street and Via Monte di Pieta in Milan.
A well recognised flag-bearer for British tailoring internationally, Udeshi’s brand sits at the premium end of the suiting spectrum. While his craft is rooted in a classic fully-canvas construction Udeshi’s handwriting is subtly flamboyant. Fitted 2sb grey flannel suits, sit alongside Henley blazers and colourful paisley shirts and linings. Accessories are also key, with colourful suede loafers, stingray wallets and skinny ties underlining the brand’s rakish swagger.
Wholesale prices range from £48-£62 for shirts, ties are £25-£29, suits start from £325, and coats range from £325-£525. For more information call 020 7495 1333, or visit www.udeshi.co.uk.
