New boss at Ben Sherman

Pan Philippou, former group chief executive at WDT, will take on the role of group chief executive at Ben Sherman from January 2010.
“My focus will be to continue the journey of the brand and support its growth, repositioning and success,” said Philippou.
Philippou will replace Miles Gray, who has been the face of Ben Sherman since the late 1990s. During his tenure as chief executive Gray evolved the Ben Sherman brand from its roots as a shirt brand distributed solely in the UK, to becoming an internationally recognised lifestyle brand. In 2000, Gray led a management buy-in, acquiring 20% of the business with venture capitalist 3i. Four years later in 2004 Ben Sherman was sold to heavyweight US brand Oxford Industries. Gray will remain as non-executive chairman with Ben Sherman following his retirement.
Last month, Ben Sherman opened its first tailoring store in London’s Savile Row and further new openings are scheduled this month for London’s Covent Garden and Boston in the US.Source URL: http://icip2idayusof.blogspot.com/2009/11/new-boss-at-ben-sherman.html
