Visitors to Bread & Butter in Berlin who made it past the Denim hall into the Supreme section may have stumbled across contemporary womenswear brand Supertrash. An instant hit with every buyer who found it, Supertrash collides pretty girlish styling with a super chic rock’n’roll handwriting.
The brand’s LA roots are exemplified for spring 10 by complexly constructed silk jerseys in a neutral palette alongside sexy minis and blingy maxis for a slice of poolside chic. The trend for ruffles is not overlooked with thin tiers of ruffles falling through the skirts of dresses with draped sections cascading down the sides of simple mini dresses.
Bamboo prints on cropped bolero jackets and Missoni-esque paterns on body-hugging mini-dresses underline the brand’s infatuation with surface interest.
Wholesale prices range from £44-£268, and the brand is being handled in the UK by sales agency Red Alert.
