Designer Paul Costelloe was among a growing number of designers who used last month’s London Fashion Week as a springboard for his new menswear range.
Aimed at a 30-plus consumer, the tailoring-led collection was full of commercial pieces constructed largely from cotton, Irish linen and lightweight Irish tweed. Developed in collaboration with heavyweight menswear supplier Berwin & Berwin, the collection includes formal and casualwear styles presented against a backdrop of putty colours and summer neutrals. Strong shouldered 1sb and 2sb notch-lapelled tailoring shared the runway with a striped Henley blazer, a pastel pink cotton cardie, spread collared shirts and gently tapered trousers.
The collection launched this autumn in House of Fraser, John Lewis and Austin Reed’s Regent Street flagship, with supplier Berwin & Berwin actively seeking new accounts.
