Christopher Shannon’s spring 10 contemporary sportswear collection was among the menswear highlights at September’s London Fashion Week. As well as Shannon’s wet-look finishes, gauzy knits and architecturally-cut shirting, buyers were impressed by the fashion-forward rucksacks developed in collaboration with Eastpak.
Among the highlights were Eastpak’s classic backpack reinterpreted in a high gloss plasticised finish with an exaggerated tone on tone Eastpak logo, and the oversized flap-top rucksacks with contrast panelling in Shannon’s directional palette of grey, black, white and sky blue.
A graduate from Central Saint Martin’s, Shannon worked with men's designer Kim Jones and jewellery specialist Judy Blame, before launching his own collection at LFW in September 2008.
Wholesale prices for the Eastpak Christopher Shannon collaboration range from £6 to £46.
