Miuccia Prada teased her way through Miu Miu’s spring 10 runway, slowly exposing more and more flesh in a collection that began modestly with prim tailoring and inch by inch revealed more and more flesh. Kicking off with a flecked, repeat pattern tailoring story, black Capri pants were set alongside cropped jackets with large curls of fabric falling through the front. The trend for tops constructed from criss-crossing bands was referenced throughout with swallow print tops worn over long pointed-collar blush shirts before a parade of mini-dresses introduced flirtier shapes. Starting off innocently enough with a folded bud-shaped shoulder here and a rippled bib front there, the collection soon had panels cut-away to expose midriff and chest sections. Deco inspired sequin-embellished dresses introduced a more-grown up flavour before the tailoring theme returned on structured mini dresses.
