Coming from the same stable as coveted footwear brand Yuketen, you would expect serious quality and sumptuous attention to detail from Japanese brand Monitaly. Well, the spring 11 collection does not disappoint. Wide half sleeves and a boxy shape mean the silhouette recalls the 1980s, and yes they are leather lace fastenings. The prints go from this repeat patter above to brighter, more peacockish ones that recall Native Indian decorative knits...
More sober were the jackets. In 1sb and db silhouettes, these came in a paletter of khaki, olive, navy, white and light blue. Check out those abbreviated hemlines.
Look at this rail of half-sleeves. As with elsewhere at Pitti Uomo, the palette is all about a spectrum of browns and blues.
