Pretty, shiny and new for the UK

Inspired by her native Norwegian knit culture and using enough glitter to send a magpie berserk, Siv Elise Seland is a designer who combines a couple of autumn 10’s key looks: glitter, drape and clever knits. Importantly her three and a half year old womenswear label – iiS by Siv Elise Seland – always stays on the pretty and feminine side of kitsch. The super-soft knits are embellished with cascades of silver sequins, while both structured and draped dresses and skirts come in solid colours and prints. Those winter knits come in interesting silhouettes including a boxy sleeveless version.  The collection works on a three-times markup with prices from £36 to £117. There are about 60 styles in the collection and there are four collections a year – autumn, Christmas, spring and high summer.
