Baracuta and Base London team up for footwear range

With the footwear buying season in full swing and attention swerving from Micam in Italy to GDS in Dusseldorf this week, Fashion Buyer thought today was as good a time as any to highlight one of the more attractive footwear collections in this or any season.
And the good news is  it is a launch range as Baracuta, the men's casualwear brand, which has the G9 Harrington jacket at the heartbeat of its design, is adding footwear to its range for autumn 10. The collection is tightly focused with fashion forward, heritage rich men's styles produced under licence by men's footwear stalwart Base London.
There are vulcanised styles alongside desert boots, loafer and boots in the range, which has been designed to complement the Baracuta range of men's knits, shirts, polo tops and trousers. The boots come in waxy vintage black leather or burnished grey suede, with biker style straps and crested applique badges. Khaki canvas high-boots sit alongside high-top/deck shoe hybrids that come in black and brown leathers while loafers come in a  rainbow of brights as well as more conservative natural leathers. Desert boots come in patent and contrast fabric versions. Brogues com ein anthracite, tan and brown.
Peter Knight has been recruited to the role of sales and business development executive to represent the Baracuta footwear licence in the UK and Ireland. The wholesale prices go from £36 to £62
