Occasionwear brand John Charles has added a capsule collection of cocktail dresses to its autumn 10 range, which injects a youthful shot into the arm for the London brand. Alongside this the brand has also tied-up with Wiltshire milliner Vivien Sheriff for autumn 10, by producing a collection with co-ordinating headpieces. The overall look channels the 1920s and an Art Deco palette of rich berry shades alongside metallics including rose gold, bronze and platinum. Materials are similarly sumptuous with lace an on-trend inclusion alongside silk brocade, crushed satin, satin backed crepe and chiffon with some jersey also in the mix. The silhouettes describe a feminine look with figure sculpting cocktail dresses and coordinated hourglass dress and jacket sets.
