Red Herring

Though not strictly part of the Designers at Debenhams stable, Red Herring continues to outperform many of its high street peers with its affordable take on runway-inspired fashion.

Next season Red Herring takes a playful swipe at Balmain’s dishevelled military look with a double-breasted, regimental-inspired day coat in cotton with sequinned epaulettes, and a worthy effort at mimicking Basso & Brooke via a kaleidoscopic all-over crystal print cotton dress against a purple background, with placed crystal overprints in shocking pink.

Also worth a gander come January is the white tuxedo jacket with all over sequins and draped lapels, a 1980s grey slouchy sweatshirt with embellished sequinned florals, pleated, cropped and cuffed safari trousers and the rip-and-repair boyfriend jeans with silver stud details.

The season’s denim trend is explored further with a stonewashed chambray shirt and a D&G-inspired strapless mini-dress with tiered ruffles in stonewash denim.






Rocha.John Rocha




Sitting at the older end of the age spectrum Rocha’s look is all about contrasting textures with an outdoorsy feel. Without so many knits at his disposal, Rocha’s summer offer is always a challenge and this season is no different. Highlights include a buttermilk leather trench coat, a slouchy grey blazer in suede and a herringbone cotton biker jacket with nautical references such as oversized buttons and collar straps.









BDL – Ben De Lisi




Floor-length dresses (as pictured above) dominate this eveningwear offer from Ben De Lisi with sequin florals, animal prints, and draping providing plenty of surface interest. The palette works largely from grey, bright purples and shocking pink with standout dresses including an animal print column dress with a draped bust and jewel encrusted shoulder straps alongside a shrug jacket with all over rivet studs. Elsewhere, a floor length dress emblazoned with sequinned floral patterns stood out alongside a dazzling array of accessories including a 1950s-inspired sequin studded pill box bag.
