Shirts that you could Staple to your back

Staple Design is a creative furnace, churning out co-labs with huge brands from Oakley to Puma, and working with pretty much everyone from Nike, Sony and LVMH to Microsoft and Lotus. But don’t let that corporate halo put you off. Jeff Ng, the man behind Staple, is superbly respected in the trade and it is the brand’s own menswear collection that has Fashion Buyer drooling today.

The New York label’s spring 11 range is a distillation of on-trend shirt details, with some of our favourites in the mix: contrast colour half plackets, plaid panels and sleeves and washed out oxfords in blue and pink.
With references to heritage details, workwear fabrics and college fund Ivy leaguers, this is a range that rings the bells right now from a label that is light on UK stockists. That may partly be because you’ll need to call the US but perhaps that transatlantic chat is worth it now.
