Portuguese retailer on the hunt for UK accounts

The next big euro high street player to hit the UK is shunning the traditional route of popping up in an off-centre Oxford Street fascia only to disappear 18 months later. Instead it will pursue a nationwide wholesale strategy, which means that you could be its next stockist.Portuguese high street retailer Lanidor is not a well-known name on these shores but the fashion chain is hoping to change all that as it takes its contemporary womenswear to UK wholesale.

The chain, which has 137 stores across 12 different countries, is aiming for 40 stockists in the UK and will show at either the February or September edition of the Pure tradeshow in London in order to boost its profile among UK indies. Lanidor is lining up similar assaults on Germany and France in spring 11.

And what about the product? See for yourself. Office ready separates include ruffled knits, oversized cardies, slim trousers and pencil skirts. Simple, fitted and pussy-bow detail dresses line up alongside db jackets, camel coats, fitted trenches and slimlined bikers. The palette centres on warm neutrals with tan, blush, cream and brown with highlights in makeup box pastels. Prices go from £17 to £125
