Eden Park to launch England rugby licence collection

Fashion Buyer hung out with French lifestyle brand Eden Park last night as it announced a six-year deal to dress the England rugby team, a piece of news it followed up by revealing that a licensed collection will be available at wholesale. The 20-year old brand will kick off the licence deal, which uses the rose emblem of the England rugby team, in plenty of time for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Starting with just 12 pieces, including shirts and blazers using the brand’s preppy handwriting, the first capsule will be available for March 2011.
UK marketing and sponsorship manager Damien Boursiquet explained that the range will be developed in following seasons using feedback from the market. Meanwhile the players’ outfits will remain exclusive to the squad, England player Ugo Monye and coach Martin Johnson were on hand to explain the virtues of the slim-fit suit, shirt, shoes, topcoat and rakish Ralph Lauren-esque Gavroche headgear.

Eden Park has 33 accounts in the UK. To find out more, call 020 7734 0365Source URL: http://icip2idayusof.blogspot.com/2010/10/eden-park-to-launch-england-rugby.html
