Among the denim brands seeking inspiration from archive pieces rooted in vintage Americana is Pepe Jeans London. The brand has just revealed its new Heritage range which launches with a pre-collection set for a November drop. This capsule collection has been developed to whet the appetites of buyers before Pepe unveils a full Heritage collection at the spring 2011 edition of Bread & Butter.
Inspired by iconic military and workwear styles from the last 150 years, the Pepe Jeans Heritage range is a beautifully crafted selection of authentically aged selvedge denims, chinos, shirts, and jackets. The Americana emphasis finds the brand plundering the history books and finding inspiration in jeans first worn by prospectors in the great American Gold Rush, alongside pleat-fronted denim trucker jackets, 1960s field coats, and chambray shirting.
Fashion Buyer was drafted in last week to help put together a mercantile era look for the Notting Hill showroom, a wall of which can be seen in the main picture.
The pre-collection is now available to buy and wholesale prices range from £28 to £54.
