Fashion Buyer has been 'trolling the showrooms this week to check out the womenswear pre-Christmas deliveries. Among them is Mina, one of the powerhouses of dress-driven fast fashion. Having grown up with its audience, teh brand now straddles a fairly wide range of ages - as shown by its celeb wearers, who, from Fearne Cotton to Denise Van Outen, represent a few age ranges beyond the teenyboppers.
And the collection reflects that maturity.
With smoky backgrounds that glide sfumato-like into English-garden berry-shade florals, the dresses on show in Mina’s showroom this week have a sophisticated feel. The winter maxi – hotly tipped to keep tills ringing through the colder months – lined up alongside full-sleeve wrap dresses. Dusky florals were shown on both styles and a black lace wrap added to the darkly romantic, vintage infused nostalgic mood of the range.
Also ticking trend boxes were draped and pleated chiffons and exposed zips. Currently selling for September deliveries, prices go from £18 to £35.
