Jil Sander's latest J+ collection lands in Uniqlo

Fans of the clean-lined proportions evangelised by Jil Sander since the 1990s can dose up on the designer's latest collaborative collection with high street champion Uniqlo without calling-in the loan sharks.

This third collection under the J+ monicker delivers an excellent array of Sander's trademark crisp cotton shirts but the winning category for autumn 2010 is outerwear. For reference, take a look at the down-lined pea coats and double-breasted Chesterfield coats for men alongside the super-chic cropped funnel-neck jackets and slim-shouldered wool military coat for women. The best part perhaps, is the fact that there's nothing priced over £149.99.

Personally, we can't wait to get our chilly mitts on the men's quilted 2sb tailored blazer with notched lapels which is scheduled for a drop later this season.

Catwalk trend round up: womenswear spring 11

The flurry of fashion weeks the world over rages on no longer.  The countless shows have drawn to a close and never to rest on our weary laurels we have endeavored to pick out the strongest, essential, must have stocked in your store Spring 2011 trends:
The Trouser: In keeping with the upcoming minimal mood of spring, trousers are still the new trouser (following nicely from this winter) and are set to be simple, long, and very lean. This smashing silhouette was seen on multiple runways from Phillip Lim to Chloe (pictured).

Neon Heels: You’ll need protective eyewear to view SS11’s most key footwear.  Fashion lovers everywhere will be teetering on Neon bright sky-high heels. Miu Miu (pictured) and Christopher Kane have both produced some electric pairs…It would be oh so rude not follow in their footsteps.
Full Length Skirts: We thought the mini skirt would never die…apparently it has. And the midi is toasting at the wake. Skirt lengths fall mid calf or below this spring. Apologies to the teenager within. Pictured above: Jil Sander

Biker Jacket: Burberry Prorsum cannot put a jacket wrong!  The leather biker jacket (following the explosion of this season’s shearling jacket) is an absolute must for your store window. Watch the queues form.

White: There is no denying it. White floated its way down the runway in every form imaginable, from tailored trousers to romantic lace dresses. Not stocking white this spring would be like ignoring mentioning the rather large Ivory elephant in the room…Pictured above: Alexander Wang
