Velvet

Maybe one of the more surprising looks to come through was a raft of luxurious velvet, which appeared in dusky pink, grey and blue shades on dresses and tops. Though this was not backed on more than a few styles by the brands that used it, it was a commercial looking lightweight rendering of the sumptuous fabric that combined both drape and embellishment. Also backed by a few UK brands for autumn 10, the difference here was that it was not just about evening and occasionwear. Velvet for the day? One for your more adventurous customers.
