Digital print techniques have made their way into branded collections after first breaking through on Basso & Brooke’s experiments and latterly Mary Katrantzou’s perfume bottle dresses seen at LFW in the summer of 08. Like both those designers’ works, versions at Pure stopped buyers in their tracks when they caught sight of them. Though picked up by Next last season, it otherwise made little impression on the high street so this is one trend where indies really can beat the high street as the look matures.
